Did You Know?
The Columbus Indiana Philharmonic serves our community by providing:
- Strings instruction in area schools
- Columbus Indiana Children's Choir (training young voices since 1996)
- Adventure Concerts for third and fourth grades (performing for over 60,000 children since 1989)
- Strings and choral summer camps (creating great musical adventures since 1991)
- "Phil Harmonic" our resident penguin mascot (reaching countless young and forever young since 1996)
- Scholarships - so that no child is ever turned away

Flood Aid 08, presented by the Columbus Area Arts Council, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, kidscommons, ABC-Stewart School and the City of Columbus on June 28 raised over $10,000 for Bartholomew County Flood Victims.

Columbus Philharmonic Chorus
The Chorus has been an important element of Philharmonic music programming since the first concert in 1987. On April 4, 2009, the Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus will perform Beethoven's joyful and uplifting masterpiece, Missa Solemnis.
If you are interested in participating contact Beth Booth Poor, bbpoor@sbcglobal.net or 812-372-1960. Auditions are not required. Singers from high school students to senior citizens are invited to participate.
